St John Fisher Nursery is now open, and we are delighted to welcome our youngest children—our Little Lambs—and their families into our school community, where they are nurtured in a loving environment and feel safe, valued and cared for. 

Our nursery is open for 38 weeks of the year, providing high-quality care and education for children aged 3 to 4 years. We are open five days a week, offering two daily sessions:

Morning Session	8:45 am - 11:45 am
Afternoon Session	12:15 pm - 3:15 pm

For families eligible for 30 hours of funded childcare, we are pleased to offer additional sessions. (You may be eligible if you live in England and your child is aged 3 or 4.) There is a small £3 daily charge to support lunchtime supervision.

At St John Fisher, we are committed to ensuring every child feels happy, valued and confident to explore the world around them. Our approach to learning is centred on play, discovery and meaningful experiences, with a balance of child-led exploration and carefully planned adult-led activities throughout each session.

We encourage every child to grow in independence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. Our nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting children across the seven areas of learning through thoughtful planning and careful observation.

We recognise each child as a unique gift from God. We celebrate their individuality, nurture their strengths and support them to grow in confidence and resilience. Rooted in our Catholic ethos, we help children to understand that through God’s love, we learn together, grow together and achieve together.

Please note that applications to the nursery are separate from admission to the main school.
