Consultation on Our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Policy

At our school, we are committed to supporting the flourishing of every child as a unique individual created and loved by God. Guided by the words of Jesus in John 10:10, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full," our Personal, Health, Social and Economic Education (PHSE) and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) programmes aim to help pupils develop the knowledge, understanding and values they need to lead healthy, safe and fulfilling lives.

As part of our commitment to working in partnership with parents, carers, staff, governors and the wider school community, we are currently consulting on our Relationships and Sex Education Policy. The Department for Education requires schools to review and consult on their Sex Education provision to ensure that it reflects the needs of pupils and the values of the school community.

We warmly invite all our parents and stakeholders to read the draft policy and share their views. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us provide an age-appropriate, inclusive and values-led curriculum that supports the wellbeing, dignity and development of every child.

The consultation period will run from 1st September 2026 to 1st November 2026 . Comments and feedback can be submitted via email to clerk@ourladyoffaitmatrust.essex.sch.uk.

Thank you for helping us ensure that our RSE provision enables every pupil to grow in confidence, character and understanding, so that they may truly "have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).
